A Rediscovered Rubens Headlines an Old Masters Sale

VATICAN CITY, VATICAN - 15. 10. 2024: The marble statue "Apollo Belvedere" returns to the display of the Vatican Museums after its restoration. The statue was discovered in 1489 on the Viminal Hill in Rome and brought to the Vatican between 1508 and 1509 at the behest of Pope Julius II.
