The timeless magic of Tiffany Studios lamps, with their symphony of vibrant hues, continues to capture the imagination today more than ever. The Art Nouveau table lamps were in fact the protagonists of the recent Fine & Decorative Arts sale at Morphy Auctions on December 18-19. Among the 1,216 lots offered, Tiffany Studios lamps dominated the $2.1 million event with their brilliant color spectrum. And above all, the hypnotic "eyes" of a rare and prestigious Tiffany Peacock lamp stood out.

Among the successful offerings at auction was a leaded glass lamp with a Daffodil (Narcissus) motif, featuring a ribbon column and a patinated bronze base with an onion bulb motif. The lot reached a very respectable price of $73,800, exceeding the estimate of $60,000-$80,000.

Another breathtaking protagonist was a Nasturtium leaded glass lamp, whose motif incorporates some of Tiffany's most complex, such as festoons, ripples and drapes. The lot reached a price of $110,700, in line with the estimate.
As anticipated at the beginning, the jewel in the crown of the sale was a Peacock lamp, a motif much loved by Tiffany, of which the example present at auction represented one of the most iconic and beautiful variants. Of an intense purple that fades into lighter shades of lavender and blue, ending in emerald greens and yellows along the lower edge, the lamp – inspired by peacock feathers – immediately fascinated bidders, easily exceeding the maximum estimate and reaching the remarkable figure of $307,500.
