The star-studded cast for Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street featured Academy Award winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey, as well as a white Lamborghini. In fact, two 1989 Lamborghini Countachs were used in the movie. One was destroyed while filming; the other is now for sale.

With an estimate of $1.5 to $2 million, RM Sotheby's proudly offers the screen-used Lambo, which is considered to be one of the most iconic film-used vehicles in the history of moviemaking. DiCaprio, who portrayed the famed stockbroker Jordan Belfort, drove the white Lamborghini in the movie as the ultimate status symbol of wealth and success. In the movie, one of the cars was carelessly driven by DiCaprio's character while being highly narcotized, hence the car crashing multiple times. RM Sotheby's commented that the other car "remains in the same condition to this day, solidifying its own place as a Hollywood icon with its now infamous battle scars."

The other car is highlighted as the premier lot in RM Sotheby's "Luxury Week" auction on December 8. Notably, the car still has the same New York license plate as in the movie, namely "VKY 722".

Notably, RM Sotheby's holds the record for the most expensive movie memorabilia ever sold, and that was also a film-used car. More precisely, an Aston Martin DB5, driven by Sean Connery as James Bond in the 1964 cult movie Goldfinger. That car sold for $6,385,000. On December 8, we know if the Lambo will come close to that amount – or not.
