From January 14th to 18th, 2023, Artcurial is back on the Riviera for the winter season, once again taking over the legendary Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo for its traditional prestige sales of Jewelry, Fine Watches, Hermès & Luxury Bags and Ladies’ Watches.
Here's what not to miss this weekend:
The Fine Watches session will present watches from the greatest names in watchmaking in increasingly rare and unexpected versions. A yellow gold Rolex Day-Date with a Sanguine Jasper dial, a 3940 Patek Philippe in a rose gold version and a Rolex Daytona with a Paul Newman dial are among those to be discovered. All these watchmaking gems have been carefully selected by the department.
This year, Artcurial's Le Temps est Féminin sale will feature a precious and astonishing selection of women's watches, which are the result of a meeting between watchmaking, jewelry and femininity. It includes secret watches, jewelry watches, sports watches and pendant watches, all signed by the greatest names in watchmaking. These include a Patek Philippe in yellow gold and diamonds with an annual calendar and representing the phases of the moon, and a Cartier nephrite jade easel clock.
Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Bulgari or Buccellati: the greatest names of the Place Vendôme as well as the Italian jewelers will be represented in this High Jewelry sale. As at each session, jewels from all periods will be offered for sale: antique jewels, with a fabulous case of brooches adorned with emeralds and a Mellerio necklace in gold and diamonds, icons from the 1960s with notably a marvelous set by Van Cleef & Arpels, and more contemporary jewels by Dior and Chanel.
A sale will also be devoted to artists' jewelry with designs by César, Corneille, Cocteau, Ernst and Lalanne.
The Hermès and Luxury Bags sale will offer a selection of the most beautiful bags of the moment. From Hermès to Chanel to Louis Vuitton, collectors will be able to choose from crocodile, ostrich and calf models in a variety of colors.
Rare, limited editions such as a Birkin Cargo 25 and a Haut à Courroies Endless Road will be on offer in this incredible sale, as well as a superb special order, a Kelly Sellier 25 in Emerald crocodile.
