“Yes!” Pierce Brosnan told The Hollywood Reporter. “I think we’ve watched the guys do it for the last 40 years, get out of the way, guys, and put a woman up there. I think it would be exhilarating, it would be exciting.”

The Irish actor, who has starred in four James Bond films and cites playing the 007 agent as a career milestone, has endorsed the prospect of a woman in the iconic role created by Ian Fleming. This has come amid rumors that Lashana Lynch could take over for the upcoming No Time To Die installment, which stars current James Bond actor, Daniel Craig.
Brosnan did, however, express doubt that this would happen with the current producers: “I don’t think that’s going to happen with the Broccolis. I don’t think that’s going to happen under their watch,” he said.

Following Brosnan’s affirmation, Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan responded to the comments on air with: “pathetic, virtue-signalling nonsense,” claiming that “the campaign to save James Bond starts right here”.
“They are not changing James Bond to a damn woman on my watch,” he announced, adding: “He was the last sort of, slightly caveman guy, who would throw a woman over his shoulder, ravish her ‘til dawn.”
He then added sarcastically: “And we can’t have any of that, women don’t want sex anymore.”

At Barnebys, we see often bear witness to the popularity and scale of James-Bond-related items at auction, from exclusive watches and cars (such as Aston Martins), to signed posters and original books. The most expensive Aston Martin DB5 is a James Bond one, replete with gadgets. It sold at RM Sotheby's on August 15, 2019 for $6.3 million
