APR57 has earned their reputation: with over 100 years of combined experience, they know value when they see it. Their current offerings are no exception: see several highlights below, and be sure to peruse the rest on Barnebys!
Wei Lei "Approaches to a Hybrid Identity" Oil and Acrylic on Canvas, 2018

Wei Li is an emerging abstract artist, rising through the ranks with ease. Born and raised in China and trained in Canada, Li’s work is shaped by her experience as an immigrant. Her paintings are intentionally made to be “disorienting” and “puzzling” to provide a visceral sense of her dichotomous, contradictory identity. This vibrant piece—with an appraisal value of $7k—is a beautiful example.
Cartier 18K Yellow Gold Rivoli Small Round Wristwatch w/ Wide Bezel

The Cartier watch offered by APR57 is a marriage of iconic design and compelling detail. Its unusually wide bezel leads to a fluted crown topped with cabochon sapphire, and its classic ivory dial is complemented with black Roman numerals and dark blue hands. With over a century of watchmaking prowess under their belts, a Cartier watch is one to jump at: it’s a beautiful way to match the likes of Princess Diana and the Duchess of Cambridge.
Lou Gehrig July 4th, 1941 Memorial Stub Card

With this offering, it isn’t the item itself, but the meaning behind it, that provides value. This is one of the oldest existing baseball tickets still in excellent shape, given in 1941 to commemorate Lou Gehrig’s 1939 speech. Following an incredible career with the Yankees, Gehrig was diagnosed with ALS. In forced retirement, he gave a wrenching speech at Yankee Stadium, proclaiming: “For the past two weeks you have been reading about a bad break. Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth.” He passed away two years later. Considered to be one of the greatest players of all-time, this ticket serves as a reminder of his strength in the face of disaster. It is a true one-of-a-kind offer.
Gucci Sylvie Hand/Shoulder Bag

Gucci needs no introduction. After their founding in 1921, they quickly gained a name for themselves; their iconic stripe, based on English horse-riding, can be recognized a mile away. This handbag features that detailing, on leopard-printed calfskin and navy leather.
Beautiful Handmade Solid Yellow Gold 2+Ct. Diamond Ring

The quality of artisan design can be seen with ease, and this ring is no different. Centering a round brilliant diamond of 2.25 carats, and set on 14k yellow gold, it’s a certain conversation starter.
Original One-of-a-Kind Watercolor Self-Portrait "Lonely" by Marilyn Monroe c. 1955

This piece is another wrenching reminder of a famed icon. One of two hand-painted portraits made by Marilyn Monroe in 1955, said to represent the “Gemini sides” of her personality, this watercolor mimics the incredible loneliness of the beloved actress. Crafted within the midst of a divorce and a cinematic legal battle, both paintings were gifted to Marilyn’s close friend Susan Strasberg. The other has been lost; with the purchase of this survivor comes a letter from Strasberg and the book it is featured in. It’s truly a beautifully bittersweet offering.
