Indian Motorcycle

Indian Motorcycle Co, known as simply Indian, is a motorcycle company produced 1901-1953 in Springfield Massachusetts, USA. Indian was founded back in 1897 by George M Hendee as the Hendee Manufacturing Company but changed its name from 1898 and onward. From the beginning the company produced bicycles and the first motorcycles was produced and sold to the public in 1902. These early motorcycles are very rare and sought after amongst bike collectors. Some of the most well known models are the ”Indian Scout” and the ”Indian Chief”.
