Beautiful decorative vase, designed by Arthur Schulz, German sculptor (1873 - 1943) from the Berlin School. The vase depicts a mermaid or nymph swimming between a school of fish and seaweed. Very three-dimensionally crafted with much attention to detail in the face, hair, and scales. The vase is in good condition, with age-related patina on the metal and a small hole on the inside of one fish, not visible due to its position. The vase has deliberately not been polished to avoid loss of texture. The vase is not marked as pewter, fine pewter, or silver. On the back signed: Arth. Schulz
