We present an elegant silver-plated brass soup tureen—an object rich in history and charm. Its Neo-Rococo forms and worn silver finish lend it a unique character, making it a perfect conversation piece. Dating back to the early 20th century, this piece will add a touch of distinction and elegance to any table setting. -Origin: France. -Period: c. 1900–1940 (first third of the 20th century). -Style: Neoclassical / Traditional French Classic (Neo-Rococo). -Material: Silver-plated brass, silver-plated bronze. -Technique: Artisan craftsmanship. -Ornamentation: Fine design featuring braided handles and a lidded top with a central finial. It boasts a bulbous, curvilinear body, handles with spiral/rope molding, and a lid finial shaped like an artichoke or plant bud (elements characteristic of the Neoclassical tradition or earlier French period styles, such as Louis XV or Louis XVI). -Mark: No mark found upon visual inspection. -Dimensions: 33 cm (including handles), 28 cm high, 23 cm wide. -Condition: Antique condition showing damage and loss of silver plating, signs of use and patina consistent with its age and the accompanying photos.
