Timex Skin Diver – Vintage Mechanical Watch – 25 Metres – 1970s Manual Winding – Black & Red Dial – Rotating Diver Bezel – Date A striking vintage Timex Skin Diver, dating approximately from the 1970s, featuring the bold and highly recognizable sports-watch aesthetic of the period. The watch immediately stands out through its unusual black, grey and red geometric dial, complemented by luminous-style hour markers and hands. The silver-tone rotating diver bezel, cushion-shaped case and date window at 3 o’clock complete the characteristic skin-diver appearance. The dial is signed TIMEX and WATERPROOF 25 METRES, while the stainless steel case back carries matching water-resistance markings. Powered by a traditional mechanical movement, this is an attractive example of the affordable recreational diving watches that became increasingly popular during the 1960s and 1970s. Condition Grade: B Condition Report This vintage Timex Skin Diver is in Grade B condition, showing visible signs of age and use consistent with its period. The chrome-plated case presents scratches, surface marks and areas of normal wear. The rotating bezel also shows signs of use and ageing while retaining its clearly legible diving scale. The dial remains visually striking, with its unusual red and black geometric design providing strong period character. The hour markers and luminous-style elements show natural ageing and patina. The acrylic crystal presents signs of normal use and age. The stainless steel case back shows scratches and surface marks consistent with previous wear. The watch is fitted with a generic red and black silicone strap that complements the red accents of the dial. The watch has not been tested for water resistance.
