AN INTERESTING 9CT GOLD HANS WILSDORF ADMIRALTY DOUBLE CASED WRISTWATCH. the 15 jewelled mechanical movement within a 9ct gold hinged (hinge pin missing) case protected by a 9ct gold outer case with a screw down bezel. This looks to be an early attempt at producing a waterproof case and a possible precursor to the famous Rolex Oyster case. Both cases stamped W & D with 9ct gold, London hallmarks for 1922, both cased numbered 21976, 21.4 grams, 30mm dia.
