Medieval Islamic Ring with Red Stone – 12th to 14th Century AD A Medieval Islamic ring crafted in a silver alloy and set with a prominent oval red stone held within a raised bezel. The setting is enriched with small applied floral and rosette-shaped ornaments, while the broad open-ended band gives the piece a substantial sculptural appearance. The decorative vocabulary and construction are consistent with jewellery produced within the medieval Islamic world, particularly during the Seljuk and Mamluk periods. The surface preserves oxidation, patination and wear associated with age and prolonged use. Material: Silver alloy with red glass or garnet stone Dimensions: 2.4 x 2.5 cm Weight: 2.93 gr.
