Flavia Delgado - Buenos momentos XL

BUENOS MOMENTOS is a 70 x 100 cm painting by Flavia Delgado that pays homage to the small pleasures of life and to those simple moments that, over time, become indelible memories. Inspired by the aesthetics of vintage advertising posters and the Mediterranean aperitif culture, the work turns a daily scene into a visual celebration of enjoyment and companionship. The composition features a cocktail glass accompanied by olives, classic elements associated with relaxed conversation, friendship, and shared time. The simplicity of the objects contrasts with the expressive power of the deep red background, which envelops the scene in a vibrant and optimistic atmosphere. The result is a direct, elegant image rich in emotional symbolism. The color palette centers around three visual protagonists: the passionate red of the background, the greens of the olives, and the bright reflections on the glass. The defined black lines and strong contrasts reinforce the graphic character of the work, evoking both old illustrated ads and the tradition of contemporary pop art. The title, BUENOS MOMENTOS, functions as a statement of intent. It refers not only to the act of sharing a drink but to everything that turns an ordinary experience into a special memory: an unexpected conversation, an improvised celebration, a gathering among friends, or simply a moment of calm at the end of the day. The absence of human figures allows the viewer to project themselves into the scene. The objects act as triggers of personal experiences, awakening memories associated with encounters, travel, celebrations, and moments of connection. The work thus becomes an open space for the emotional interpretation of each observer. Through a clean, luminous, and accessible aesthetic, the painting reflects on the importance of valuing simple pleasures. In an era marked by speed and immediacy, BUENOS MOMENTOS advocates for pause, conversation, and the conscious enjoyment of what happens here and now. With its balance of nostalgia, graphic design, and contemporary sensitivity, this work conveys a universal message: happiness is often found in the simplest moments, those we share and that, without realizing it, end up becoming part of our story.
