Philippe Hiquily (1925-2013) - Marathonienne

Philippe HIQUILY - Marathonienne Elegant black metal sculpture representing the famous Marathonienne, one of Philippe Hiquily's most emblematic works. Originally conceived in 1981 as a monumental sculpture 6 meters tall, the Marathonienne, regularly showcased on the international art scene, has become a true icon of Hiquily's oeuvre. This female figure captures a suspended moment of movement, where the softness of the curves contrasts with the rigor of a geometrically perfectly mastered composition. This 16 cm edition reproduces all the expressive strength of the monumental model in a collectible format. Its balance, its elegance and the sensuality characteristic of Hiquily's work make it a particularly sought-after piece.
