January 2025 - New Series - Animated cartoons and comics Artistic collaboration between David Law and L.A French David Law, musician, author and photographer, has been developing for more than 20 years series around his favorite themes: placing mannequins in shop windows, Japanese angels and Korean dolls in the cities he traverses. He turns to graphic design to create crypto-rocks, a gallery of portraits of icons made from photographs of the represented artists. He participates in several circuits of contemporary art fairs where he exhibits and for which he produces photo and video reports. He collaborates with L.A French on a series dedicated to future pin-ups, in a universe close to Star Wars, for which he applies his experience as a graphic designer using Photoshop tools. L.A French is a musician and illustrator artist for several years. “The Space Pin-ups” combine the retro and timeless charm of 1950s/60s pin-ups with technological and science-fiction motifs familiar to the public. Inspired by a family passion for pin-ups and his fascination with futuristic worlds, supported by an AI for image research, reinterpreted, mixed, illustrated in depth using graphic tools (Photoshop, XP-Pen Artist 24 Pro tablet), he creates a style where the past meets the future. These two artists join forces to invite you to plunge into an artistic universe where seduction meets the infinity of possibilities, where pin-ups navigate between the stars and distant galaxies. They are now working on a new series: Animated cartoons and comics Edition & Manufacturing Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by an authenticity certificate. The prints are produced on aluminum with an integrated rear hanging system. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with a soft UV- and moisture-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-lasting color stability and a modern, contemporary look Career Since 2014, David Law has been participating in around twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the appointed photographer and videographer for several contemporary art fair organizers. In parallel with his visual activity, he develops a body of work as an author and musician including 3 novels, 1 collection of short stories, 1 graphic novel, 1 photography book and 5 self-produced CDs. As a singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
