Bronze ring with small oval bezel – 1st–4th century AD A bronze ring with a modest oval bezel and thickened shoulders tapering towards the hoop. Wear and deposits on the front prevent recognition of a specific decoration. Dark patina alternates with greenish and yellowish areas, especially in protected recesses. The profile reveals a compact construction, with the head integrated into the hoop. Small irregularities and abrasion appear along the edges. The compact head sits naturally within the line of the shoulders, without an elaborate open mount or strongly projecting frame. Its small oval field contrasts with the greater thickness of the supporting metal. Variations in patina and deposits remain visible inside the hoop as well as on its exterior. The softened face does not preserve enough detail for an original device to be reconstructed, leaving the proportions and solid outline as the clearest surviving characteristics. Material: Bronze Dimensions: 2.7 x 2.3 cm Weight: 8.95 gr Provenance: Acquired in Germany from an auction house, previously from a personal collection. We guarantee the authenticity of the pieces, backed by the combined experience of our experts spanning more than 40 years. A Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) will be sent digitally by email.
