2008 - Ferrari 430 Scuderia Erratum: Gearbox warning light on, checks and resolution of the fault taken care of by the seller at Ferrari - Charles Pozzi Levallois at the end of the sale, lead time to be expected. Chassis n° ZFFKZ64B000160718 French registration Instructions: "The perfect Scuderia for a collector who wants to enjoy his toys!" We're at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, on the stand of the holy of holies: Ferrari! The crowd gathers in front of the newborn, a special version of the standard berlinetta, the 430 Scuderia. The tradition of turning a production car into an even more advanced limited edition was established with the 360, body-built as a "Challenge Stradale" and a resounding success. The Scuderia arrived with a vengeance: it began by upgrading its production version with a slimming cure (100 kg lost...), changing its gearbox to an F1 SuperFast2 (gear changes in 60 ms compared to 150 ms for the F430), adding a self-locking differential (a first for a production Ferrari), carbon ceramic brake discs, and 20 hp to reach a whopping 510 hp! As its provisional registration certificate indicates, our example was delivered to its current owner on October 24, 2008. From a specification point of view, #160718 carries the interesting Rosso Scuderia hue, more exclusive than the traditional Rosso Corsa! At this point, the car joins a company fleet, and is then leased on a long-term basis in the south of France. Its life was documented from the outset in a complete file of invoices, but its service book and logbooks were unfortunately lost when it returned to the Paris region... The first maintenance invoices, mostly from Ferrari, show that the car stayed in the South of France until around 2012. Notable features of this first part of its life (apart from regular servicing) include a slight impact to the front left, requiring repair of the bumper and radiator frame at the end of 2009. On its arrival in Paris, the car was serviced by the current owner's garage, before suffering a major impact in 2012. The car was then completely rebuilt by Garage ODS, in Asnières (invoice available in the file), before being appraised before being put back on the road. In October 2024, the car passed into the hands of Levallois-based Pozzi following a gearbox malfunction. The flywheel and clutch were changed (the car then had 83,358 km), and a complete overhaul (including accessory belts) was carried out: all for more than €25,000! The tires were also changed immediately afterwards. Today, the car has just over 85,000 km on the clock, and has just left the Pozzi workshop for a check-up following the work carried out in 2024. It now has an interesting patina, and is in very good working order! Our test drive showed us just how impressive Scuderia cars are to drive, how efficient they are, and how enchanting they sound... Today, Scuderia valuations are on a steady rise, with recent records at over $400,000 (or even $1,650,000, but that's another story!). Where most Scuderia cars have less than five-figure mileage, our example proudly bears the marks of its past, and is the perfect car for a gentleman driver who wants to enjoy his car to the full... at half the price!
