Sven Alfons (1918–1996) Sweden

Sven Alfons is a Swedish visual artist, art historian, art critic and poet. Alfons is a self-taught artist, though he studied art history at Lund University. His works combine images with words and he has achieved success in both areas. His paintings are dramatic, with a hidden drama that creates a dreamlike state. He was influenced by the great names of Modernism such as Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee.
