Pierre Alechinsky (1927-) Belgium

The Belgian visual and graphic artist Pierre Alechinsky is one of the founders of the Cobra group. The group was active from 1948–1951 and members expressed their subconscious imaginations without censorship from the intellect. Alechinsky’s sense of material was uncommon, and he could create work from random elements, such as assemblages of natural forms.
