Kenneth Price (1935-2013) USA

Kenneth Price was an American ceramic artist and graphic artist. Price studied at institutions including the Chouinard Art Institute, Otis Art Institute and the Art Institute of California. Price is primarily known for his abstract shapes made of fired clay. These ceramic pieces are often unglazed, but painted on directly with acrylic paint and then sanded down to reveal the colors beneath. Price was mainly active in Venice, California, and Taos, New Mexico. His work is represented at the Matthew Marks Gallery in New York and Xavier Hufkens in Brussels.
