Johanna Billing (1973-) Sweden

Johanna Billing is a Swedish video artist and art organizer. She graduated from the University College of Arts, Crafts & Design in 1999 and today, she is one of our most active artists internationally. In 2010, she participated in exhibitions in Dresden, Brisbane, Seville, Tokyo, Vancouver and Cairo, to name just a few. Situations depicting people engaging in projects together form a recurring theme of Billing’s work. It was in conjunction with a project during Billing’s studies at the University College of Arts, Crafts & Design that she tried out film as an art form, and came upon how she wanted to express herself and the media she wanted to work with further.
She and her brother run the record label Make it Happen.
