Jim Dine (1935-) USA

Jim Dine is an American visual artist from Cincinnati. Dine studied at the University of Cincinnati and Ohio University. He makes pop art and is considered part of the Neo-Dada movement, where he is primarily known for creating “Happenings” along with John Cage, Allan Kaprow and Claes Oldenburg. Dine’s most commonly recurring motifs are hearts in bold, exuberant colors.
