Visual artist Helene Billgren studied at the Valand School of Fine Art between 1982 and 1987. Woman, home and family are at the center of her art, which conveys a strong interest in everyday life. Billgren’s art is also perfused with various attributes such as clothing, decorative objects and symbols portrayed in unexpected arrangements, thereby endowing them with a new function. In 1999 Billgren had a large solo exhibition at Färgfabriken in Stockholm.
She has also designed clothing for the theater and opera.
