Ernst Ange Duez (1843-1896) France

Ernest Ange Duez was a French painter who mainly focused on portraits, but also created genre scenes and coastal images from Normandy, adorned with elegant figures. He was heavily influenced by Edouard Manet. Duez illustrated several works by Victor Hugo and Emile Zola.
