Ephraim Ståhl was a Swedish furniture maker best known for his chairs. Ståhl was active during the reigns of Gustav IV Adolf, Karl XIII and Karl XIV Johan. All of these kings ordered numerous chairs from his shop. Ståhl’s furniture style is characterized by chair legs culminating in goat hooves, lion paws or swan beaks.
