Caleb Althin (1866-1919) Sweden

Caleb Althin is known for founding Althin’s School of Painting in 1896 where he personally taught freehand drawing. The school prepared young artists to apply to the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts. Althin has personally created decorative works that can be found in Sofia Church in Stockholm, Uppsala Cathedral and the altarpiece in Sollefteå Church.
