Brice Marden (1938-) USA

Brice Marden is an american artist born in Bronxville, New York 1938. Known for his monochrome paintings and toned palette Marden is usually described as a minimalist painter, however disputed by some. He has been inspired by Jasper Johns and Alberto Giacometti and his travels to Italy, Greece and Asia.
Marden has attended Florida Southern College, Boston University School of Fine and Applied Arts and Yale University School of Art and Architecture.
