Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920) Italy

The Italian born painter and sculptor Modigliani worked and lived most of his adult life in Paris, France. He studied in Venice and Florence before moving to Paris in 1906. Modigliani’s style was unique and he is famous for being inspired by a range of different art movements and styles in the search for his personal expression. Among others he was inspired by Toulouse-Lautrec, Cézanne, Picasso, Braque as well as the Rumanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi.
