Alfred Sisley (1839-1899) France

Alfred Sisley was a French impressionist. Sisley studied with Marc Gleyre, during which time he met Claude Monet and Auguste Renoir, with whom he later began to paint. His paintings of high tide at Marly are some of his more well-known works and are clear examples of Impressionism with fresh, vibrant colors.
