Street artist AKAY from Stockholm started with graffiti in the mid-1980s. From 1997 he made advertising posters for his imaginary ideology Akayism, which spread from Stockholm to other major cities around the world. Akay is best known for his Traffic Island project, which he created with Peter Baranowski. In this work they placed a traditional “Falu” red cottage on a cliff between two highway lanes at the Eugenia tunnel in Stockholm.
