Story & Heritage Founded in Switzerland in 1882, Zodiac developed a reputation for technically interesting and visually distinctive watches. During the dynamic era of the late 1960s and 1970s, the company embraced high-frequency mechanical technology and adventurous case designs, resulting in memorable models such as the SST 36000. Its movement was designed to operate at 36,000 vibrations per hour, producing a notably smooth progression of the seconds hand and representing an ambitious chapter in Swiss mechanical watchmaking. At the time, these high-beat movements reflected the industry’s pursuit of improved precision and technical performance. With its superb original blue dial, sculpted stainless-steel case, day-date complication and original bracelet, this Zodiac SST 36000 is more than a vintage automatic watch. It is a fascinating reminder of an era when traditional Swiss mechanics and futuristic design came together on the wrist. Internal Reference Number - Xtm. 195
