Perfectly woven and finished with detailed craftsmanship: Yüncü cicim kilims. The wool is dyed with natural dyes. Yüncü (woolmakers) is a nomadic tribe, originating from Central Asia. In Turkey, the Yüncü are settled in several locations, including in the Kaz Mountains in the Canakkale Province in northwestern Turkey. The Yüncü make kilims with archetypal imagery. Depicted are blue and brown zigzag lines, symbolizing water and fertile earth, the continuity of life. At the edges is the elibelinde motif (hand on the hip); a fertility wish and a symbol of reincarnation. A timeless design that fits in any interior.
