Yoshitomo Nara (1959) - Little Wanderer

Snow globe “Little Wanderer” released exclusively by the MoMA Design Store, after the character imagined by Yoshitomo Nara for his sculpture series “Little Pilgrims (Night Walking)” (1999) — a sleepwalking child in pajamas, a recurring figure in the artist's universe. The figurine, hand-painted, is set inside a glass globe filled with white snow, on a resin base. Color scheme blue, one of the three colors offered by MoMA (along with yellow and red). An object halfway between a design toy and a museum piece, designed to be exhibited year-round on a desk or a shelf. Condition: new, never removed from its original MoMA box. Dimensions: about 11 × 10 × 10 cm (globe included). 2025 MoMA Store edition (revised version after a recall of lot 2023, see note at top of sheet). Provenance: direct purchase from the MoMA Design Store, resale via Art Street Gallery. Careful shipping with reinforced padding suitable for glass objects.
