Yngve Ekstrom (Swedish, 1913-1988), Vintage Sheepskin Lamino Lounge

1960s, made in Sweden, oak bentwood frame upholstered in soft slate gray sheepskin, marked. 39.75 x 27.5 x 30.75 in. In 1999, the “Lamino” was named by the influential Swedish magazine Sköna hem as the Swedish furniture design of the twentieth century. "I designed Lamino with the human body as a starting point, making it as pleasant to look at as to sit in" -Yngve Ekström Some minor scuffs typical for a piece of its vintage; possibly later upholstery; overall good estate condition.
