About the artist: Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools; she currently lives and works in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to selling, representing and developing artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a profound artistic sensitivity. This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary means to explore themes related to nature, landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her environment. Her works subtly and powerfully address themes such as beauty, love, sensuality and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres. With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, yielding versatile, fresh and deeply evocative works. The painterly texture of her images, masterful use of color, and emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current artistic proposal of high aesthetic value. Shipping and presentation: The work will be carefully packed by a professional and shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to ensure integrity during transport. Shipments are made through reliable courier companies such as UPS, FedEx or Correos Spain, depending on the destination and the most convenient option in each case. The estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days, though it may vary depending on the destination country. The work depicts a woman with light skin, red hair and defined lips, partially covered by a large dark blue butterfly that hides her eyes, set against a neutral background with soft light. This work is a delicate yet intense visual reflection on transformation, mystery and identity. The butterfly, an ancestral symbol of metamorphosis and rebirth, does not simply perch on the female figure: it fuses with her, shielding her gaze, blurring the boundaries between nature and humanity. The composition, with almost Renaissance elegance, stands out for its meticulous treatment of light, texture and detail. The restrained palette—dominated by dark tones, blue-green hues and soft golden highlights—strengthens the mood of intimacy and enigma. The black Victorian-style dress adds an aura of timelessness and solemnity that subtly contrasts with the organic fragility of the wings. Conceptually, this image suggests a passage between two states: concealment and revelation, symbolic death and resurrection of the self. The butterfly, positioned over the eyes, implies that true vision lies not in outward gaze, but in inner transformation. The figure’s serene gesture, static posture and slightly parted lips reinforce the sense of a suspended moment, a secret about to be revealed. The work resonates with traditions of symbolic art, classical portraiture and poetic surrealism, yet its visual language is entirely contemporary, playing with expressive minimalism and deep metaphorical charge.
