Yamaha - AX-400 & TX-400 Stereo set - Multiple models

The Yamaha AX-400 stereo amplifier and TX-400 AM/FM tuner form a matched audio set from Yamaha's Natural Sound line (circa late 1980s), both finished in silver. The AX-400 is known for Yamaha's characteristic Natural Sound philosophy: a neutral, uncolored reproduction with an open sound character. The amplifier features a variable Loudness control (allowing you to precisely tailor the contour to the listening level), a CD Direct switch to bypass unnecessary tone circuits, and a built-in phono stage that is switchable for both MM and MC cartridges. The matching TX-400 tuner is known for stable digital tuning and clear reception on both FM and AM with memory for preferred stations. The set is sold as a matching amplifier and tuner. Condition-wise, both devices are in nice condition with normal signs of use for their age. Both units have been tested and are working.
