Y Marie - Horizon

Horizon is an original painting by Y Marie that captures the beauty of a landscape at dusk. At the center of the composition, a bright sky in shades of gold, amber and orange reflects on a body of water with gentle tones, creating a subtle dialogue between light and matter. On either side of the scene, the dark silhouettes of trees frame the landscape and naturally guide the eye toward the horizon line. Deep greens, nocturnal blues and touches of purple contrast with the warmth of the sky, giving the whole a contemplative and singular atmosphere. The handling of the material, perceptible in the reliefs and variations of brushstrokes, adds presence to the pictorial surface. The composition favors the expression of light and the balance of colors over a meticulous reproduction of the landscape. Through this work, Y Marie evokes a moment of transition between day and night, a moment of calm where the gaze wanders into the immensity of the landscape. Its format of 30 × 40 cm allows it to find its place in a contemporary or classic interior, where its warm tones can dialogue with the surrounding decor. Horizon thus invites a silent contemplation of nature and light, in a work where the depth of shadows meets the radiance of the sky.
