Y A RÉGENCE WALNUT, TULIPWOOD AND ORMOLU MOUNTED SERPENTINE COMMODE CIRCA 1720 With a shaped Rouge Royale marble top and brass fluting 82cm high, 120cm wide, 66cm deep Provenance: Property from the collection of Comte Frédéric Chandon de Briailles Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use Some old chips, splits and small losses, some use of filler in places The marble top appears to be original, it has small nibbles and fragmentary losses to extremities with some isolated filler use in places No key is present but all locks are open The handles and metalware all appears to be original Some tape applied to the backboard to secure old splits The top of the commode beneath the marble with old securely nailed tin or sheet metal Overall of excellent presence and scale in the room Please see all additional images accessible via the link in the report - they are a vital part of this condition report.
