Exceptional sculpture by XTC Artist: Large Mc Banksy-style cone in red and 24K gold leaf It measures 25 cm tall (19 cm without the heart-shaped balloon), on a plexiglass base 10 x 15 cm and 15 mm thick. Designed and cast in molded resin, clad in 24 karat gold leaf (everything gilded is pure gold leaf), with paint. Protected under a varnish as glossy as it is durable. Sculpture in molded resin, hand-painted by the Artist XTC using resins, acrylic paints, and varnishes. The edition number applies to the sculpture fully realized by the artist and not to the plexiglass base. This design will be produced in only 8 copies and 4 AP (Artist Proofs). A détournement of a McDonald’s cone, combining the delicacy of Banksy’s work with the excess characteristic of McDonald’s, represented by the abundance of hearts. Signed and numbered on the edge of the base, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. Careful and trackable shipping. Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that was meant to come to fruition. XTC describes himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity expresses itself through audacious staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), pitting them against the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and caviar) and street art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He conveys his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals. He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addiction in general. All possible flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
