Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that was to come to fruition. XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumer culture (such as McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which he pits against the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals. He is inspired, among others, by Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general. Any defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
