All auctions / Contemporary Art / XTC Artist - Cerise Clicquot Orange 30 cm
Champagne Veuve Clicquot resin Apple / Cherry by XTC. Approximately 15-17 cm in diameter and 30 cm tall with the stem. Commercially manufactured resin sculpture, customized and finished by the Artist XTC using acrylic paints and varnishes and vinyl. The edition number applies to the painted finish by the artist and not to the base object. Numbered / 30 and signed underneath, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. (The piece shipped is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar) Careful and trackable shipping. Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that had to be realized. XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne or Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals. Among others, he is inspired by Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general. All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
