WMF - Platter (2) - Silverplated - Set of serving bowls

Set WMF Germany (*hotel silver) silver-plated bowls in Art Deco style. The bowls are executed in the geometric Art Deco/early Bauhaus style and date from approximately 1930–1950. The clean cutouts (openwork or pierced design) often served in hotels as an elegant fruit or bread basket. Because of the perforated patterns, air could reach the fruit, or the napkin inside was nicely showcased. A beautiful addition to an extensive dining table. As signs of use there are fine scratches, appropriate to the age and use. The set has been cleaned but not yet polished.
