Myanmar (Burma), probably Mandalay tradition. A strongly carved wooden architectural ornament in the shape of a winged, likely horned mythological guardian beast, possibly a toe or related Burmese hybrid animal figure. Dark lacquer, red polychromy and traces of gilding. Rear side with original mounting holes. Damage to the right wing, see detail photo. Weight almost 3 kilograms. Shipped with PostNL or B-post
