William Lycett Studios (American, 1883–1909) for Limoges, Set of Twelve

Late 19th century, porcelain by Haviland and Co. of France, the hand-painted decoration was applied by the William Lycett Studios of Atlanta, Georgia, late 19th century, including (11) dinner plates (9 in.) , and an oval platter (11 1/2 x 17 1/2 in.), featuring a gilt water's edge rim with hand-painted habitat foliate motifs, centering various game bird species, all signed W. Lycett to the posterior, and most with Haviland Elite red marks. Collection of the Leggett Family, Danville, Virginia Some areas of rubbing to the gilt; one plate with small chip; fleabite to rim of platter.
