Dimensions: 67 x 56 cm Condition of the object: In excellent condition. Professionally framed in a wooden frame with mat and glass. Ready to hang. A rare and intriguing early work from the highly praised 'Mudra' series by the Dutch visual artist and philosopher Wido Blokland. Blokland studied Eastern and Western philosophy, which is deeply reflected in his visual art. Within this photo series, the artist explores the boundary between the transient human mask (the face) and the inimitable laws of geometry. The complex 3D paper construction, placed directly before the eyes, forces the viewer to reflect on the workings of perception, sensing, and consciousness. Rarity: This is a very exclusive and museum-worthy object. The original gallery price of physical works and assemblages from this sought-after series is around €2,700. Given the extremely limited edition of only 3 pieces worldwide, this is a unique opportunity for collectors to acquire a genuine key work by Blokland for their collection. See the photos for a good impression; they are part of the description.
