White Star Line, 1923. First class passenger manifest for the R.M.S. Majestic, departing Southampton for New York via Cherbourg on Wednesday, September 12, 1923. The paper booklet features a cream-toned stock with the red and white White Star Line house flag on the front cover. The interior title page identifies the vessel as a Royal and U.S. Mail Steamer of 56,551 tons, noted at the time of printing as the "Largest Steamer in the World." The manifest includes several notable historical figures in first class, including statesman Bernard Baruch, tobacco heiress Doris Duke, Potter Palmer Jr., and William H. Vanderbilt.
