Ehringhaus, Chapel Hill, North Carolina Scuffing and light staining to boards, two small areas of loss to cloth (one likely due to insects), heavy rubbing to extremities, and a small area of cracking starting at front joint; hinge cracking; front endpapers with heavy wear from soiling, pasted label, and numerous attached newspaper clippings; early (1891) gift inscription on front paste-down and title page; text block with mild toning, occasional foxing (concentrated at title, frontispiece, and endpapers), scattered grime, light marks, and tears, some wear at inner margins including binding holes, and a large repair(?) to one leaf. A good copy of this scarce work.
