Wesley Altena (1987) - Pixie Dust

A vibrant, contemporary acrylic painting of a seated fairy figure in a bold, illustrative style. The subject, with warm brown skin, blonde hair styled in a high bun secured by a blue ribbon, and large translucent wings, is shown in a three-quarter rear view, glancing over her shoulder. She wears a form-fitting green outfit and sits with one hand resting on the ground, her pose relaxed yet confident. Strong pink-magenta outlines define the figure against a rich blue background with vertical gestural marks. Handwritten text in pink on the right reads “Faith, Magic & A Little Pixie Dust” beside a small star. The work is signed “W.A.” in the lower right corner. The painting combines cartoon-inspired forms with expressive brushwork and a vivid colour palette, creating a playful yet striking pop-art aesthetic.
