W.L. Weller Duo – The Original Wheated Bourbon – Weller 12 Years Old (70cl) & Weller Special Reserve (1 Litre / 100cl) Description Up for auction: An exceptional set of two iconic Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskies from the legendary Buffalo Trace Distillery: the highly allocated W.L. Weller 12 Year Old and the generous Weller Special Reserve (1 Litre format). As the original "Wheated Bourbon," W.L. Weller substitutes wheat for traditional rye in the mash bill, resulting in an exceptionally smooth, soft, and gentle sipping experience. Sharing the exact same celebrated wheated mash bill and historic warehouse aging as the ultra-exclusive Pappy Van Winkle line, Weller bottlings have become among the most coveted and collected American whiskeys in the world. Included in this lot: W.L. Weller 12 Year Old (700 ml | 45% ABV / 90 Proof) Aged for twelve long years. Renowned for its rich, complex character, offering aromas of lanolin, almond, creamed corn, and toasty oak. The palate delivers heavy caramel, sweet cream, and deep oak spices, finishing dry, long, and sophisticated. Weller Special Reserve (1000 ml / 1.0 Litre | 45% ABV / 90 Proof) Presented in the rare and sought-after 1 Litre format. A remarkably smooth and approachable wheater, delivering sweet notes of caramel, butterscotch, soft honey, and gentle wood spices with a floral, mellow finish.
