This Wedgwood earthenware cream jug, dating to approximately 1930, features the Black Laurel pattern from The Etruria series. Constructed from cream-colored Queen's Ware, the vessel has a bulbous body, a waisted neck with a pointed spout, and a simple loop handle. The decoration consists of black and yellow transfer-printed Neoclassical motifs. A central footed urn containing yellow flowers is featured on the body, flanked by a pendant garland border. The rim is decorated with a wide band of stylized laurel leaves and medallions. Foliate details are also present on the spout and handle. The underside of the jug bears a black printed mark that reads THE ETRURIA, WEDGWOOD, ETRURIA ENGLAND. Additionally, the piece includes a provenance sticker from the Rubin Collection and a handwritten dealer tag.
